Disability Culture Month

About Disability Culture Month

Every September, Mizzou celebrates Disability Culture Month, highlighting the contributions of disabled individuals to our campus and society. This month is a time to recognize disability pride and deepen our understanding of accessibility. Through events and discussions, we aim to promote community building, allyship and methods to create inclusive and welcoming environments for all.

Giveaway alert! Attend two or more Disability Culture Month events for a chance to win one of five Champion backpacks! Each event you attend increases your chances. Make sure to check in through Engage at each event. Winners will be chosen randomly and notified via their university email. Thanks to Champion for their generous donation.

His remarkable journey is captured in his book, Unstoppable: From Underdog to Undefeated: How I Became a Champion, published in September 2012.
