Mizzou is starting a new tradition of celebrating Disability Culture Month, formerly Celebrate Ability Week, every September! To kick off this inaugural year, and to recognize the 30th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), we’ll be celebrating all year long. Check out and use #ADA30Mizzou and #ADA30 across social media to share how you’re celebrating.
The Future is Accessible
Here at Mizzou, we’re growing our understanding of disability — what it is, what it isn’t, and how it affects all of us at some point in our lives. Whether we are Mizzou students, faculty or staff, we each have a role to play in ensuring that all students with disabilities have an equal opportunity to a quality education. Join our ongoing, candid conversation about disability and find your place in building an accessible future for Mizzou.
If you are interested in applying for a position with the Disability Center, please review the current openings and complete an employee application.
Help remove obstacles to your fellow students’ success by volunteering to take notes for those with disabilities. Please follow these steps to register as a notetaker and to become eligible for a stipend at the end of the semester.
